Privacy policy
Correctify is built to respect your privacy. This page explains, in plain terms, what data is processed and how.
No data collection
Correctify has no server and collects no personal data. We have access neither to your text, nor your API key, nor any usage statistics.
Your API key stays with you
The API key you enter is stored locally in the extension’s storage, on your device. It is never sent to Correctify.
Text processing
When you fix a text, that text is sent directly, from your browser or Thunderbird, to the AI provider matching your key (Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic). The correction is returned to you. This processing is governed by the terms and privacy policy of the provider you chose.
Extension permissions
The requested permissions are used only to read the text you select, replace it with the corrected version, and contact the AI API. No browsing is tracked.
