Correctify started from a simple need: fix any text, anywhere, without copy-pasting or handing your data to an opaque service.
Who is behind Correctify?
Correctify is built and maintained by Anthony Lacroux, an independent developer who publishes the code under the alias Anonyma. No big company behind it: a project designed to be fast, lean and useful every day.
Open, verifiable code
Correctify is free software under the MIT licence. The whole desktop application source code is published on GitHub: nothing is hidden about what it does with your text. The Open source page lists the repository, the licence and the project author.
A privacy obsession
Your text goes straight to the AI provider matching your own API key, then the correction comes back to you: neither your text nor your key passes through my servers. The desktop app only sends anonymous usage statistics (never the content); detailed error reports can be turned off in its options.
Free, so how is it funded?
The tool is free and ad-free. You use your own API key (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Mistral…), or even your own AI server; the only way to support it is a voluntary “buy me a coffee” donation.
